Goin on vacation...kinda

Alright, so on Sunday, I am headed back to the land of 10,000 lakes (Minnesota for those that don't know). The first few days are what constitute the vacation part. I will be headed up to Canada for a little fishing with my dad and my 10 year old nephew.

When we get back, that is when the REAL fun starts (and the hecktic schedule). On Friday, I am scheduled to shoot with one of my favorite models. She is so much fun to work with and really knows what she is doing (makes things a lot easier on me). This will be the first shoot that she and I have done outside of a studio setting, so it should be really good (and quite a challenge in the middle of the day). After we wrap on that one, I have to head over to a close friend's place to do some portraits of her 3 year old son (I think 3, maybe 4 now). No clue what we are going to do there, so that one is completely spontainous. After that, I am going to be headed out with a good friend from high school. I plan on shooting a bunch of shots for her as well. That ends the day Friday. On Saturday, my parents and I are taking my God Daughter on a train ride for her 7th birthday and, after, will be heading back to their house so that I can do her 7 year portraits. I have some really nifty ideas of what I am going to do with her, so make sure you keep watching here for some of those!

Then, that ends the vacation and I am headed back to Florida on Sunday. Needless to say, I am counting down the days till I go, and am really looking forward to getting away from the day to day hum drum and routines.

So, have a great next week if we don't talk before then!!!

Oh, the photo above is of newborn Ashton. I am sure that you recognize it from our website! I shot this a few weeks ago when he was about 7 days old. We had fun and I ended up getting a number of shots that I just love (especially this one). And, as an unusual bonus, I added another image below of a friend's daughter that I took about a year ago (or so). Fun shoot at a park in Ocean Springs, MS.

Possible New Studio Location

Alright, so Debra and I may have a new studio to shoot in soon! The other day, I visited a studio in Orlando that is looking for other photographers to share space in a co-op arrangement. I really liked the location, the studio was great and it has everything we could possibly want in a studio. The price is right and so is the timing (at least I think).

I will keep you up to date on what happens and, in the meantime, I am still on the lookout for new studio locations. If this one falls through, maybe we can find something else!

The above photo was taken during a session last week with Robert O'Brian (I guess we are on a mission to shoot every guy named Robert...wow). It was taken at Lake Eola in Orlando, Florida. Yet another fun place to shoot (if you want A LOT of attention from runners and walkers hehe). Rob was fun to work with!

Portrait Session with Robert

This evening, Debra and I had the opportunity to do a portrait session with a close friend, Robert Spano. We shot around the central park in Winter Park, Florida.

What a fun place to shoot! There are so many options as far as settings...railroad tracks, a train station platform, fountains, gazebos, band shells, open fields, parking lots...almost endless. Deb really wanted to venture across the street and shoot in some apartment/condo buildings, but I wouldn't have any part of that tonight (I have this thing about getting permission haha).

Anyhow, we had a great time. We got started late due to a number of issues, but after all was said and done, we got some good shots. Above is a shot of Robert on the rail road tracks coming into the station.

If you are in need of photographic services, let us know. Portraits, headshots, events, weddings, artistic...we do it all. Contact us today to set up a consultation!

Introducing...AIZON PHOTOGRAPHY

For those that don't know, or haven't heard, I have moved over from using the JRW Photography Group name and teamed up with another photographer - Debra Osmun. We created Aizon Photography as a result. Aizon (pronounced eyes on) will focus on doing portraits, headshots, events/weddings and artistic photography.

I am very excited about Aizon Photography and some of the plans that we have for the future. We plan on having a monthly give away for services (which is scheduled to start in July) and have some really exciting packages, services and events (some not before seen in the world of photography).

Keep watching here as well as on our website for some great announcements over the next several months! We will keep you up to date...
